Biennial Art Award
My artwork “Threatened Landscape” was selected for the inaugraul award held at the Toowoomba campus Gallery.
By appropriating natural forms in an attempt to highlight the beauty of the hidden and unassuming, O’Meehan explores the natural vegetation found with in unique landscapes. The resulting sculptural objects have a whimsical, creature-like presence; their playful and defensive structures seem to repel and beguile us in equal measure.
