Strange Festival

In its inaugural year, Strange is Perth’s newest arts fesitval , celebrating the misfits and misunderstood while encouraging an exploration of the City’s most unique and unused spaces.

I developed a “Cabinet of Curioisities” installation that was installed amongst eight other artists works at the Hub in Forrest Place. A collection of unusual and unidentifyable objects assembled along side uncanny ceramic and crocheted creatures enticing the viewer in to question the what, the how and the why.

Lizard skeletons; balls of human hair; crochet covered rocks; wombat teeth; thorned vases; calcified coral; land urchans; the weird and the wonderful.
